Serving more than 1,000 students in seventh through twelfth grades, Benjamin Franklin High School is a part of the Benjamin Franklin Charter School District. The school’s mission is to create an environment encouraging students to become intellectually curious, as they believe this helps students access their full potential and allows them to discover all of the possibilities the world has to offer. The Benjamin Franklin Charter School District was founded in 1995, making it one of the first charter schools in Arizona. Since 1995, three other Benjamin Franklin charter schools have been established. The last branch of the district to open was the high school in 2013. In 2018, the Benjamin Franklin Charter Schools were transitioned into non-profits. The conversion to non-profit status gives the school new resources allowing them to better serve the teachers, students and families who are a part of the school community. With an impressive graduation rate of 100%, Benjamin Franklin High School is ranked in the top 5% of Arizona High Schools and top 8% in the nation. They do so with strong parental involvement. The school is governed and operated partially by the parents, who are encouraged to take an active role in their child's academics. The school system believes it is this involvement and care that forms such a strong community and place to learn.

I did cheer all through high school and it was definitely my favorite part. I made great friends there and will take lesson from it that I will never forget. Something they could improve in is especially right now it feels like we are not doing anything in my classes. In one class we are watching a movie and in the other we only do review no new lessons

Good school with some flaws. Homework load is great. Not too much. Students are kind. Teachers are mainly good and administrators are very nice.

This school used to be great. Now it has devolved into a mediocre, run-of-the-mill district school.
