The school’s mission is to create an environment encouraging students to become intellectually curious, as they believe this helps students access their full potential and allows them to discover all of the possibilities the world has to offer. The Benjamin Franklin Charter School District was founded in 1995, making it one of the first charter schools in Arizona. Since 1995, three other Benjamin Franklin charter schools have been established. The last branch of the district to open was the high school in 2013. In 2018, the Benjamin Franklin Charter Schools were transitioned into non-profits. The conversion to non-profit status gives the school new resources allowing them to better serve the teachers, students and families who are a part of the school community. With an impressive graduation rate of 100%, Benjamin Franklin High School is ranked in the top 5% of Arizona High Schools and top 8% in the nation. They do so with strong parental involvement. The school is governed and operated partially by the parents, who are encouraged to take an active role in their child's academics. The school system believes it is this involvement and care that forms such a strong community and place to learn.

Benjamin Franklin is a 7-12 high school, and I have gone there from 8-12. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences. I have gone to public schools, and I can confidently confirm that I enjoyed this charter school much more than public school. The teachers care so much and you can really perceive that easily. I don't think I could have been happier at any other school in my area.

Benjamin Franklin High School is a prime example of a school that cares for its students from the caring teachers that wish only the best for their students to the curriculum teaching students the value of critical thinking and questioning this school is pretty good

The fine arts and education are phenomenal, and this school is very unique in that it studies virtues. However, the sports are not exceptional. There are minimal fights, close to one a year, and it is a great community.

The teachers are disrespectful and full of themselves. The school prioritizes money/funding over students mental health. The punishment for "bad" activites is extrememly overplayed. Overall this school has people who are fake and teachers who really dont care. Privacy for the students is completely...

The school is closing every boy estroom. Leaving the doors wide open, A secuirty concern. Teachers are going into the bathrooms with the children, all the toliets are broken and most stails dont lock.

Good school with some flaws. Homework load is great. Not too much. Students are kind. Teachers are mainly good and administrators are very nice.

I switched here halfway through my junior year and it felt like I had been at this school for forever. All the students and staff are so nice and so welcoming. I’ve loved it!!
