Overall, it has helped me become ready for college through academics. Is there a gap between the academic side of the school and the social side of the school, yes. I struggle mostly with connecting with others and doing things outside of homework and sports. I would love to see other events that the school puts on such as going to a park with a grade or something of that nature.

Some things that I like about Wake Young Women'a Leadership Academy is the support system, sister hood, and the challenges. The courses that we take are mostly all honor courses that will prepare us for college. The courses will be hard but with the hard work and dedication you will be able to get over the obstacles. Our sisters are always there to help and support each other. 6th-10th grade prepares us for college because in the 11th grade we begin to take college courses at Saint Augustine's University, which we are well prepared for.

Going to school at WYWLA is an experience you will never forget. The atmosphere of sisterhood and faculty and staff always caring for you to succeed helps you excel. Also having small classes helps with having better one on one care. The work is very rigorous so students need to be on their A game. Because of our focus of learning, leading and serving; there is not a big focus on extracurricular activities.

All teachers are very attentive and helpful especially Principal Baker during this pandemic. We are very lucky to belong to a school who treats the children as their own.

It has gone from mediocre to poor. They do not follow or promote their leadership model. Seem to promote girl power instead. Also, the university they are associated with is not accredited. This particular Leadership Academy needs an overhaul from school leadership to university association.

In my personal opinion, WYWLA is a great school. I feel so blessed to be able to attend and have learned a lot. There are a numerous amount of leadership opportunities in the school and in the community. There are also 16 clubs offered after-school. Through these activities, I have really learned ab...

I love this school! It is challenging and fun and I have improved a lot in my two years that I have spent here. I have many good friends and have seen nothing but hard work in all of the teachers/staff members. We have many projects and many special things that are unique to our school, such as Day...
