The school staff is all white while the student body is mostly brown. I have a mixed raced child who is often very misunderstood mostly by adult white staff. School building, curriculum is modern but the mindset is early 1900's. Being very active here, it's surprising that most children who attend this school cannot tell you who Rosa Parks is and what she stood for.

Having come from another local elementary school, we were pleased at the sense of community at Rosa Parks elementary. The school is very diverse which reflects our area as a whole. Would recommend this school to anyone who wants their child to have a strong educational foundation

After the attempted poisoning, I volunteered a few times at the school, so that I could see what actions were being taken. The main bullying student was still approaching my child, which caused me to intervene at least twice. Another time, I witnessed the teacher allowing the children to STILL work...

Poor = I found the work that teachers assign to be of low quality and boring. Books teachers read in class are of low literature quality. Students spend A LOT of time writing following a stab-me-in-the-eye-boring writing process. Behavior of many of the boys is jaw-dropping disrespectful. It is hard...
