I absolutely love Redwood Academy--the tight nit charter school only enhances my learning experience. Above all, my teachers care. They care for me academically and ensure that I am also cared for personally. I don't think I would feel the same at any public school, as they insincerely assign you counselors that accommodate for hundreds of students. Despite the welcome and warmth of the school, I do wish for a greater plethora of AP classes and physical fitness in high school. Their message does focus predominately on academics, "preparing for college and independent living"; yet, I likewise miss the bonding experiences I fondly remember in my middle school PE classes. Additionally, a greater range of AP classes would not only appeal to me but my other classmates would likewise wish to experience challenging courses and augment our arsenals of knowledge.

I like that it is a small school, and it is easier to connect with teachers and fellow students. The teachers in Redwood are also very caring, and they encourage students to try and do their best.

Although my daughter hasn't yet attended this school, I have found their receptivity to my inquiries very encouraging. I was given a lot of information about the schools schedule and policies, and promptly mailed an enrollment form after I faxed in my application.

Redwood Academy is one of the best charter schools in Northern California. My tenth grade daughter is a few points from a 4.0 and is excited to go to school. The teachers are involved and care about their students. The school is small, which enables students the time and gives them the help needed t...
