Northrich Elementary School is a Richardson Independent School District public school. The school serves students in prekindergarten through sixth grade. The campus is located off Custer Road in Richardson.
Northrich Elementary School opened in 1960 and has had multiple renovations, with the most recent update took place in 2001. The school is a recognized and awarded school. Northrich Elementary has been ranked by the Texas Education Agency as an Exelempary school multiple times. In 2007, the school received the Texas Business & Education Coalition Honor Roll and the Gold Medallion Award.
The Northrich Elementary curriculum teaches academics and citizenship. Core subjects include reading and mathematics. Students also take science and social studies. Fine arts and physical education courses also help develop the whole child. All curriculum taught at Northrich Elementary follows the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills standards.
The school mascot is “Richie the Bear,” and the school colors are orange and black. Upon the completion of elementary school, students will continue their education at one of the junior high schools in the Pearce Learning Community feeder pattern.
