Prairie Creek Elementary is a Richardson Independent School District public school. The school serves students in prekindergarten through sixth grade. The campus is located off East Prairie Creek Drive in Richardson.
The school works on developing the whole child through various initiatives and programs. The Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support program encourages positive behavior changes in students. The Social Emotional Learning and Equity and Diversity programs work to make a positive impact on students’ wellbeing and character development.
Prairie Creek Elementary has an active Parent Teacher Association. The group sponsors many events throughout the year to provide resources and programs to the students and staff. The school has an outdoor learning center for students to learn about science and nature.
In addition to core coursework, like reading and mathematics, students are able to participate in extracurricular clubs and organizations sponsored by the school. Two beloved student clubs are Panther Pals and Beta Club. The school also has a choir and produces musicals throughout the school year.
The school mascot is the Panthers, and the school colors are blue and yellow. Upon the completion of elementary school, students will continue their education at one of the junior high schools in the Pearce Learning Community feeder pattern.

PCE is lucky to be hidden in a special neighborhood that supports its activities and students. Most grades only have 2 sections and people know each other and take care of our whole school. Kids get special experiences like dad-child campout, grade level musicals and choir.
