Richardson Terrace Elementary School is a Richardson Independent School District public school. The school serves prekindergarten through sixth grade students. The campus is located across from Terrace Park off of Dorothy Drive in Richardson.
Teachers and support staff are dedicated to developing partnerships with students and their parents. They believe the sense of community and support between school and home strengthens students' achievements and successes.
At Richardson Terrace Elementary, students learn core subjects daily. Core subjects include language arts and mathematics. They also learn science and social studies. All classes have a curriculum based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills standards.
In addition to core classes, students take fine arts classes throughout the week. Students take an art class and two music classes every week. To align with the district’s participation in the Coordinated School Health initiative, students also participate in health and physical education classes. The aim of these classes is to teach students how to live an active, healthy lifestyle.
Richardson Terrace Elementary is home of the Terrace Tigers. The school colors are green and white. Parents are encouraged to join the school’s Parent Teacher Association and volunteer on campus to support the teachers and students.
