Richardson West Junior High School Arts and Technology Magnet is a Richardson Independent School District public school. Seventh and eighth grade students must apply and have been accepted to the program to attend this school. The campus is located off Holley Drive in Richardson.
The school curriculum has a strong focus on fine arts and technology. Students can study subjects like Culinary Arts and Hospitality or Theatre Arts through the art department. The school also has musical classes. Students can join the orchestra, band or choir. Students can also study subjects like Automotive or Computer Science through the technology department.
All students take core classes in language arts, mathematics and science. The school’s curriculum for all classes is based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills standards.
In addition to rigorous academics, students are able to participate in athletics or physical education. Athletic sports include football, volleyball, and more. The school mascot is the Broncos. School colors are blue, orange and white.
