The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have gone to Rio Hondo high school since my freshman year and I have been around in all my life since my parents have been teachers there since I was born. Rio Hondo high school is a small school which makes it very easy to connect with teachers which I find very helpful. Our administration is great honestly. The teachers are always willing to help out a student and the work together when it comes to students. Our school isn't very high in money so we don't always get the materials we need but hey are always trying there best to try. Sport wise anyone who wants to play can play there is never really any try outs they only separate people from varsity and jv. I honestly love Rio Hondo Hight School and I think it's an amazing school with a great family environment.

The reality of Rio Hondo High School. Though I have made friends in rio hondo that are for life is a quiet town that many do not hear of and yes at times the food is awful at times there is a lot potential of being in a small town wear every one knows you and you personaly know every person in the school. The teams and clubs are all fun and uniqe as wel as the people that call this school home. there is not that much diversity hear as in other places but nobody really cares what race you are as the times we have people come here they are welcomed with open arms. the teachers are nice though they do assigne a lot of work at time they are always willing to help either on a one on one level or as a group they will always try there best to help. So I say to those who read this welcome to Rio Hondo wear you are always welcom.
