Rhodes Elementary School hopes to inspire students from preschool through eighth grade to be lifelong learners and productive citizens. To set kids up for academic success, Rhodes provides various programs to ensure all students get the education that best suits them. There is an English Language Learners program to support multilingual learners, the Rhodes Enrichment program for Reading and Math to engage students with high IQs and standardized test scores, and more. The school implements the Rhodes Respect! program to provide students the tools and guidelines to cultivate a positive learning environment. The program encourages a sense of personal responsibility and positive decision-making among students. Rhodes Elementary is located near a large green space and playground. To the east of the school is Trumbull Park, one of River Grove’s public parks. The school is also near a main thoroughfare, making drop off and pickup easy. Organized sports are offered to students at Rhodes. Options include softball, soccer, basketball and volleyball. Parents working late hours can take advantage of the Rhodes Bobcats After School Activity Club, which provides students with enriching games and space to complete homework after hours.

Recently, there has been more classes for those who are advances, but not when I was attending. Some middle school teachers doesn't do a good job teaching in the class. When I was in 7th grade, my language arts, US History, and Science combined to form an all-year research about a foreign country.

There are the recycling team and the student council. There are also sports programs such as volleyball, soccer, basketball, and cheerleading.

This school for sure discriminates the children for their race and color. The people in the office are the worst, the principal and vice principal should do their job correctly. I been living in River Grove for 18 years not worth the money to waste on providing your taxes for this school the average...

I left the Chicago area for a better life in the suburbs. Yes, River Grove is quiet and there is always parking. Though the schools were terrible. Both kids were in advanced classes in 5th grade, my kids were learning 6th-grade work in Charter school. They came to Rhodes Elementary School and oh my...
