I would consider it a sports school. It puts sports above anything else in the school besides clubs. Students should not go for an academic experience, but I feel I haven't had a bad experience. The students are not preferred for me, but I've made a lot of friends that are not the majority of the students that attend. The sports and events are fun and the people and teachers I've met I will never forget. The money is an issue because we are not funded by the government, so the food is not great and when damages are done it takes long to repair them. Overall I am fine with the school, but there are not many choices in the area I live in.

I had a great time in high school, it was a great experience and I got to be involved in many different sports and clubs. Everyone there for the most part treated me like family and were always more than willing to help me. I think there was a little favoritism towards people who play sports, and that was upsetting at times, but it wasn't too bad. The sports teams did get more funding while other parts of the school needed to be updated, but they win frequently so it was a little easier to overlook. But overall it was a very good experience and allowed me to make friends for life.

I started going to John Curtis when I was in 6th grade. My experience was wonderful. There were so many clubs and the teachers were lovely.
