Even though I started late I was welcomed with lots of smiles by teacher, students, and even admin. They have a great environment in school.

I have not had a good experience at John Curtis in my first year at the school they did a very poor job of helping me get acclimated and 3 teachers ganged up on me and tried to get me kicked out of the school for falling in sleep a couple times and because they didn't feel like I liked them. The school is also completely run by family which is sweet but at the same time means it lacks diversity and fairness. Throughout the whole school for my first year the only black employed adult at that school I saw was the janitor. My senior year is going better but only because I have different teachers and my grades are better. They hired a black math teacher but only after the janitor retired.

John Curtis is a good school I love my classmates there. The only thing I would change about Curtis is that they let students express their selves more. I also wished they had more activities. I feel as though they put their all into football and volleyball they leave other sports and clubs out.
