It's a palatable school, but overtime it has heavily skewed from what it once was. This is largely because of higher up decision from the Roanoke County School Board, but the enforcement of unreasonable rules (such as a 7 minute time period to use the restroom with strict penalties) ultimately falls upon the school itself.

I love hidden valley high school. We have a very dedicated group of admin who makes sure students get what we need. The counseling staff are there for the students when needed and are always there to talk to. HVHS has a lot of school spirit. They do a lot of activities to get students involved in the community. I would love for the custodial staff to be more on top of getting supplies in the bathrooms. I also think the science teachers need a run down on how not to stress out students. All the other subject teachers are amazing. We have a great marching band and choir program. Overall this is an amazing school.

The rating for this school needs to be re-evaluated. This definitely does not include the statistics for the students who they remove and kick out because they don’t meet or live up to their “perfect standards”.
