Orchard Ranch Elementary, home of the Broncos, is one of 19 schools in the Roseville City School District. This public educational institution serves 831 students, from Transitional Kindergarten to fifth grade. Though it’s a newer school, having opened its doors in 2017, Orchard Ranch is quickly embodying its own set of values and standards for academic excellence.
Being a student at Orchard Ranch Elementary means being a risk taker, adopting a growth mindset, and becoming a lifelong learner. Technology-based instruction is a defining factor at this school, as it prepares pupils for life beyond the classroom. Students receive education in core subjects— math, reading writing, science, history— from qualified and passionate teachers.
In addition to these foundational topics, Orchard Ranch encourages children to adopt the motto, “Fitness for life!” The school takes physical education seriously, with students learning motor skills— how to dribble a ball— and interpersonal skills— being mindful of individual differences in physical abilities.
The school also offers on-site support for students in need of counseling services, speech-language instruction, and English language development. Furthermore, the school principal, Mr. Joseph, makes a dedicated effort to know students and parents, building a sense of trust within the Orchard Ranch ecosystem.
