I transferred here from a Boston charter school and it's been way better. I'm really thankful for a lot of the teachers and admin. But, sometimes admin fails, and lately the school/district has been making a lot of unilateral decisions that students are opposed to -- really strict phone policy and tardy policy (escalates to saturday detentions), and extending the school days.

The best part of being in Fenway was getting the experiences and opportunities other schools in my district didn't. This allowed me to gain the skills needed to be able to succeed in my academics and being more responsible. One of my worst experiences was having a teacher who was not familiar with the subject and having to endure it. I let my principals know of this matter and how my classmates and I were struggling but they did not seem to care that it would damage both the teacher & the students reputation.

I attended Fenway in the late 80's, just a few years after it was created. I loved that school! The people I met - both students and teachers- were amazing. I had studied at Boston Latin School and Newton South before the Fenway, and it was absolutely my favorite. Miss Schirmer and the other teacher...

I absolutely adore this school! I can not imagine being anywhere else because nothing can compare. To be honest I have gotten use to seeing teachers working at the bare minimum because they have just given up.
