We have been very happy with our experience as parents so far at Rumsey Hall. Our daughter's PreK class is warm, welcoming, engaging, and fun for her. We asked her after her first term what was something she likes about school and she said "everything". We've been pleased with all the teachers and administrators we've met and look forward to our years ahead. The school has deeply routed traditions and there is a true sense of community on campus. We're grateful to be part of it and would recommend Rumsey to anyone.

I've been very pleased with my child's experience at Rumsey so far. We're especially happy with the quality and backgrounds of the teachers, facilities, and extracurricular/after-school activities. There is an excellent sports program, and our child has access to activities like Spanish, yoga, STEM, music, etc. While the area is rural and more isolated than some schools, it's in a beautiful setting. The boarding students and NYC transplants bring some welcome diversity. My child's class in the lower school is also more diverse than the surrounding area itself. All of the faculty, staff, students, and parents we've interacted with have been warm and welcoming. In response to an earlier review that mentioned bad food, I don't have any major concerns about that. They seem to offer relatively healthy, tasty options compared to what I've seen at some other schools.

Attending Rumsey for 8 years was too long. Lower school was great but the upper school was not. I think the secludedness and the type of people that attend the upper school make it less of a positive experience.

We love Rumsey Hall School! The school is engaging for all ages - inside and outside of the classroom, on the playing field or on the stage. There are so many amazing opportunities and amazing faculty and staff.

My daughter just finished her pre-k year and had an amazing experience. Her teachers were wonderful and she made terrific friends. They utilize the 23-acre campus extensively and she can't wait for the new year to begin!

Rumsey is a mediocre school for mediocre to poor students with a lot of money to waste/ privilege. Many new families joined the lower school this year in the pandemic shift and 90%+ were extremely disappointed in the academic standards, even when comparing to overcrowded public schools.
