MSJ provides a safe, family like environment for all who attend this school. All teachers care deeply about the education that they are giving each and every student. All teachers are willing to put in the extra work to help each student succeed.

The school is adaquate, but still far below the rigor of many schools who push for college readiness - especially if you wish to pursue an AP track. The building itself is very old and we continue to be surprised by lack of updates and cleanliness. Even though this may be best option in Rutland area, it still leaves a lot to be desired.

I like the closeness of MSJ. Everyone fits together, there is a "family" aspect of the MSJ community that not a lot of other schools see at the high school level. I came from a public middle school, and a lot of my friends decided on going to a public high school. So when I came to Mount St. Joseph, I was nervous. I had my best friend from my childhood come to MSJ also, but was nervous about making friends and doing well in my classes. It didn't take long before I was friends with my entire class of 28 students. This school is great in so many ways that they outshine anything that might need to be fixed. I personally cannot think of anything that should change with this school because I have had such a great experience with it.

My son attended mill river union high school his 9th and 10th grade year he is a 2013 graduate. He was very unhappy and wanted to switch to MSJ. We're both so happy he made the change. Are only regret is that he didn't spend all four years there.
