My experience at Rye High School was pleasant. I transferred in as a Junior and they made me feel the most welcomed. While the diversity was slim, the teacher's and administration's efforts to prepare the students for college and or life after high school was uncanny.

Transferring schools my junior year was the best thing that happened to me. Rye HS has more to provide and offer than my old school and it's better in every way possible. The only thing is the diversity and as someone who grew up with only Hispanics and black people, it was a shock that I was surrounded by white people only, though I quickly adjusted. The transition was smooth and my grades have never been better because of the teaching and the unlimited amount of AP's I was able to try.

Most of my teachers are fantastic. That being said, there isn't enough room for advancement academically. IB is not offered, and many classes are mandatory. There are many clubs and activities, but most do not receive nearly enough funding. Food is expensive, and diversity is non-existent.

One of the most run-of-the-mill high schools. Leaders keep changing. Most academic programs are mediocre, some sports teams are good, very little support for special needs children.
