Transferring schools my junior year was the best thing that happened to me. Rye HS has more to provide and offer than my old school and it's better in every way possible. The only thing is the diversity and as someone who grew up with only Hispanics and black people, it was a shock that I was surrounded by white people only, though I quickly adjusted. The transition was smooth and my grades have never been better because of the teaching and the unlimited amount of AP's I was able to try.

Most of my teachers are fantastic. That being said, there isn't enough room for advancement academically. IB is not offered, and many classes are mandatory. There are many clubs and activities, but most do not receive nearly enough funding. Food is expensive, and diversity is non-existent.

Rye high school is a school that offers many opportunities and rigorous classes to students with an extremely high graduation rate. The classes, teachers, and admin are helpful, nice, and always there to help!! One thing I did notice was the lack of diversity in the school as it is primarily white.

In my experience with my children who attend the HS, the school system, administration, staff and security are among the best in the state. The School offers a wide range of AP courses, electives, clubs, sports and music programs. The teachers are all very knowledgeable, friendly, supportive, and ar...

One of the most run-of-the-mill high schools. Leaders keep changing. Most academic programs are mediocre, some sports teams are good, very little support for special needs children. Be prepared to sue the school district to get accommodations. Also, if diversity matters to you, this is an all-white...

Let's be honest, RCSD is great for Elementary and Middle School. But, the high school is a mess. There has been a massive turnover in the administration and a decline in the quality of education for good and excellent students. Many classes are no longer academically rigorous or preparing students f...

Academically, the experience has been very fulfilling. The level of courses offered is exactly what is needed to be competitive for the top colleges. Socially it has been a travesty! For a student who is shy, and not a member of the majority, this school can be brutal. The social aspect does ,of cou...
