I love the fact that you can retake summative assignments in office hours, which are twice a week per class. Despite this, I like that there are deadlines, which you are rewarded for following since you don't have to redo the assignment later.

The school is very diverse and meant for the outcast in some ways because it is small with an art focus. There is very little bullying but like any school, there are always a few kids stirring up trouble. For the most part, it has a very caring staff that doesn't give up on students easily. My main issue is that it is not a normal teen highschool experience and school spirit can be lacking so if that's not what you are looking for beware.

Leroy Greene Academy is a great school for academics. While most schools only require 220 credits to graduate, LGA required 260. The time I've spent at LGA, we used "block schedule" which is basically a school year split into 4 quarters, 4 classes each quarter, with a total of 8 different classes. With the 4 classes each quarter, we spent 1 hour and 20 minutes in each class. This gave us the opportunity to learn a lot, have lots of practice time, and gave us 1 on 1 time with the teacher. Leroy Greene Academy gives you lots of opportunities to keep your grades up and they offer you a lot. For example, they pay for your SAT's, counselor's help 24/7, and the community is overall very close. Sports at LGA were alright, our athletic director made sure we all were playing to our best potential. The events at LGA were always amazing. Overall, the LGA community is like a family.

This school is okay. I'm going into 7th grade this year so here's what you need to know if you're planning to send your kids here.FOOD:The food is fine. Some stuff like the pasta and mac and cheese is terrible but other things like the garlic bread and pizza are pretty good. It tastes great for the...

There are a handful of solid teachers but mostly lack experience but unfortunately don't have the humility to go with it. There was a "math" teacher who didn't know how to graph and a history teacher who could have been a CIA plant given the inaccurate and revisionist history taught. The worst is th...

Our two daughter's attended Two Rivers Elementary as well. Great elementary school by the way! They love Leroy Greene Academy, we love the fact of the 6th through 12th grade. We don't have to worry about the transition, they have their friends that move on to the next grade with them and familiar te...

School is horrible the Teachers are unprofessional and the Kids are always getting written up. The Principal acts like he’s running a prison and the Front Staff is rude. Lots of racial issues with this school. Don’t let your kids come here.
