Sacred Heart Academy (SHA) is an all-girl Roman Catholic school located on the Ursuline Campus in Crescent Hill. The academy was founded on the core values of community, reverence, service, and leadership. SHA is surrounded by 48 acres of serene nature in the middle of the city, creating a unique setting for learning and development. The SHA education is focused on inquiry and exploration instead of memorization. The intention is for SHA students to become problem solvers, creative thinkers, and innovators. SHA offers an impressive number of clubs for wide-ranging interests. Just a few examples are the Fandom Club, the Black Student Union, the Hack Club, and the VEX Robotics Club. There are many more available to help students find their interests. SHA also has many sports teams, including cheerleading, dance, cross-country, golf, lacrosse, basketball, and others. The academy offers retreats, camps, and summer programs for its students and community.

I transferred to SHA from a public school within JCPS. The community and involvement Sacred Heart Has to offer is unmatched. It's all about women supporting one another in a Christ-like environment, filled with activities, state championships, and school spirit.

I think the best thing about SHA is the community of students and teachers. The teachers here always are looking out for me and I have a personal connection with all of them. I think the worst part is the drama at school sometimes but that is not often and is taken care of well by staff.

Our children have benefitted from an amazing Ursuline education. The teachers are supportive and willing to meet the needs of students in their classes. The IB approach to learning helped our children become thinkers and leaders.
