My children have totally blossomed at Betty Wheeler CJA (formerly known as Kennard CJA). We transferred from another school and have been blown away. Many teachers have been working there for more than 5-10 years. There is a dedicated staff, great PTO, and great principal. There's many related arts...

Kennard has served us well. Any complaint would be the lack of understanding regarding student behavior. Kids are impulsive. Writing up a student 25+ times in a school year clearly does nothing to correct behavior. A little compassion would have gone a long way.

I've been a Kennard parent for five years. This school is wildly overrated. Most of the teachers are excellent but the overall organization of school activities is lackluster. For being an advanced curriculum school, far more money and effort is spent on remedial students than on advanced ones. The...

Our children first attended Mallinckrodt and now attend Kennard. If you are choosing between the two, it is worth it to put them both down on your list for the lottery but, hands down, Kennard should be the first choice.
