Founded in 1952, Ladue Horton Watkins High has a long track record of academic success. It was ranked #3 by U.S. News and World Report for Best High Schools in Missouri. Niche has given the institution an A+ rating, and has ranked it #1 for Best Public High Schools in Missouri. Based on state test scores, 75 percent of the student body are proficient or higher in math, and 72 percent are at that level in reading. Advanced Placement coursework and exams are offered, and the participation rate in this program is 68 percent.
The school is committed to excellence in academics, athletics, activities, and the arts. Beyond a strong core curriculum, the high school offers myriad athletic and other extra-curricular activities. Diverse athletics programs include cross country, basketball, golf, swimming, football, tennis, field hockey, volleyball, wrestling, soccer, baseball, and water polo. Clubs and activities available to students include choir, band, art, anime, chemistry club, animal allies, chess, dance, and computer science, among others.
To keep each of the 1300+ students and their parents informed, the high school uses Infinite Campus mobile apps. Grades are posted on this platform, and a parent portal allows parents to view academic records. The Ladue student community can also follow the latest news and events on the school’s active social media pages, which include postings about fundraisers, awards, performances, and student accomplishments.

As an alum at Ladue Horton Watkins High School I had an amazing experience through this school district. has an outstanding amount of resources and facilities that you can gets you prepared for college. The teachers and staff are always willing to help the students the best way possible. With a variety of classes provided for the many unique and diverse students. From the Broadcast room to the ceramics studio, Ladue offers multiple different branches of courses for their students to find what their passion is.

The building at Ladue High School is incredibly nice. Everything is new, modern, and updated, including the football field. They offer a variety of classes.

Ladue offers a wide range of classes and clubs based on various interests ranging from business or engineering to Asian culture and advocacy. The building is very new having just done a renovation and technology is state of the art. Classes are 1hr30mins each which is long and has its problems. But, the school is extremely safe with constant drills and added measures.

Overall, Ladue High School has an excellent educational curriculum, teachers, fantastic new facilities. Problems in the Foreign language department with teaching. Administration has a blatant disregard towards students with learning differences/difficulties.

The district's administration does not understand civil rights and special education law. Students with disabilities are discouraged from taking higher level courses.
