As a parent I feel that TJ is a perfect fit for my daughter. Her teachers and peers understand her well and she feels like she belongs. It took a few years of meandering through various schools to find her niche, and it's been an enormous blessing and relief. TJ is her home away from home, and I can finally relax knowing that she's thriving at school. I had heard others refer to TJ as a gem & can't think of a better word to describe this wonderful school.

TJ was a life changing experience for me. I came to TJ in the middle of my junior year of high school, I moved from a completely different state so I was nervous when I first came. But when I arrived at TJ I was greeted and accepted with open arms. I quickly found friends among my peers and formed strong bonds that will last for the remainder of my life. The faculty and staff were extremely kind and caring, they were great educators and role models. Overall my experience at TJ was one to remember, the culture at TJ is like no other and their curriculum helped me become a fantastic college student.

I have been associated with and have loved TJ for almost 60 years as a student, alum, parent, Board member. The founding principles (independence, the individual working for the greatest benefit of the community) remain the bedrock of this finest of small schools.

This school is an exceptional place for an exceptionally smart student. There's nowhere else like it. The fall is focused on theater and great books, not football and homecoming kings and queens.

TJS has less than 100 students. Unless you lowered your standards or made friends online, you will most likely not have any friends at all, only classmates/acquaintances you know and go to the mall with. The languages offered are ridiculous: Greek, Latin, Italian, and French. Those are fancy, yes, b...

I am so glad we sent my son here, this is his 5th year at TJ. The learning environment is first rate, though it is a very hard school academically.
