I was a student at Ott Elementary school many years ago. My experience was a mixture of both good a bad. The good was we got to go on several field trips but the bad being some of the teachers that were hired at the time got physical with the students. Although they eventually were replaced I don't feel that it was appropriate for it to be happening in the first place.

My children used to love Ott. Over the past 2 years they have started asking to go to a different school. Ott has steadily taken away fun activities. The number of after-school clubs has decreased (and many parents don't even find out about them until after they've started and it's too late to join)...

Difficult Principal. Has a reputation for lying. Daughter's one and only recess was the last 20 min of the school day. Staff constantly had the kids partake in "silent" lunches. And the teachers put way too much stress on the children throughout the year regarding state testing. Ott cares more about...
