Sunnybrook Christian Academy is a privately funded school providing education for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. A part of the Temple of Praise Church in Westwood, Sunnybrook is a school dedicated to academic excellence taught with a biblical worldview. As an integral part of Temple of Praise Church, Sunnybrook has access to the sanctuary and all facilities on the grounds. Those facilities are extensive and accommodate a comprehensive physical education program. Students can take advantage of a weight room, baseball and softball diamond, a football field, a soccer field, a basketball court and a gymnasium with volleyball and basketball equipment.
The academic program incorporates educational materials and texts provided by Abeka, a producer of bible-based curriculum. Other resources used are Apologia for Biology and BJU Press for foreign language study. With a student body of approximately 130 and a student-to-teacher ratio of 10-to-1, students are guaranteed optimal support for their educational success.
NICHE, which evaluates colleges and schools on several core competencies, gives Sunnybrook an above average rating overall with both academics and athletics. With its central location in the Westwood neighborhood, Sunnybrook is a great educational option to be considered.

My experience attending Sunnybrook Christian Academy for over 10 years has been pretty good. There have been many changes since first attending that school, some good and some bad. One of the best parts about attending Sunnybrook is how everyone feels like family there. The worst part about attending Sunnybrook would have to be the changes that they make every year. I would like to see change in the academic areas of the school.
