The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

I have had good and bad experiences, but my bad experiences were mostly with students and me not communicating with my teachers. My good experiences came from our welcoming staff and teachers, who made learning fun.

My experience with Gompers Preparatory Academy is that over the last seven years of me attending I have had major support from my professors. This past year the college coordinators were very helpful and were able to help me get through multiple applications such as FASFA. The teachers at this school provide a lot of support and provide tutoring hours during lunch and after school which personally helped my grades not decline. One thing I would like to see be changed is that they would add more sports such as softball and having more clubs I believe that both of these things could provide the school with more school spirit year round.

The best part about Gompers Prep is the counselors. They're very hands-on and genuinely get to know the students individually. The staff are very amazing people and I'm sad to be leaving once I graduate because of how much I'm going to miss the connections and warm greetings.
I'm attending this school right now and all I have to say is don't enroll your children here. most of the teachers here are on the chill side. the actual staff is a different story most of them will get you in trouble for literally anything and the director is always making changes to the dress code...
