They don't have a gym or track, just open field and basic playground equipment. At my school growing up we always has an amazing gym so it's a big disappointment to me. I would love it if we had a gym and better equipment for the coach and students. I used to climb a rope to the gym ceiling, we had an indoor track and basketball courts as well as bars at recess. Jones does have outdoor basketball hoops.

I am honestly not sure what to compare it to. I don't care for the grading system or common core but it's the same everywhere at the moment so in accepting that I can't really say if the academics here are better or worse than other places except for the overall test scores. Scores indicate academics are good. My son is doing well but I don't like how common core math after 1st grade requires so much wasted time and energy on showing work instead of old school work (carrying). I like the emphasis on reading but I also miss cursive.

There is 0 tolerance for bullying. The teachers and principal are on top of it. So far so good.
