I would say some of my best and worst experiences at this school are of a similar origin. I have had some remarkable teachers at this school, almost if not all of these excellent teachers were in AP or advanced classes. On the other hand I have had some not quite as great teachers all of which being in regular/non-advanced classes. There seems to be a priority in advancing the studies of the top students and not nearly as much focus on students there are not in the top percent of students.

One of the best experiences at University City high school would have to be being able to go to a school where academics and sports have a very welcoming and warm environment to it One of the worst experiences at University City High would have to be the lack of teachers with an incentive or positive outlook to teach students I would really like to see a change in the staff morale for them to implement changes to make their staff more friendly approachable and great teachers like Mrs Keying Deng

This school is not really worth transferring to if you're out of the way. I would not recommend going to this school versus your neighborhood school. My neighborhood school is probably better than UC. UC is very mediocre and the teachers make the experience worse.

I like the leadership! My concern is how are they going to keep kids safe with so many entrances to this school? One security guard in a golf cart? Whaaat? Sooo many students. This district needs to wake up.

The Principal does not listen but mostly talks in generalities and finds it easier to excuse the unprofessional behavior of some the teachers than take any real action. I used to think that this was a pretty good school but now see less and less accountability in some of the teachers and our school...
