This school is very fast paced, and definitely has a pretty hefty work load at tines but it's worth it. Everyone is very close because of the class sizes and it's very easy to communicate with your teachers or get help. I went to this school because I needed a school that taught differently than in public school and I definitely picked the right one :) it can be a bit hard to keep up if you miss classes at all though and the teachers aren't very accommodating if that happens. Otherwise I love this school very much

San Francisco Waldorf is a fantastic high school that nurtures the individual student. The class sizes are small which allows a strong connection between each student and their teachers and fellow class mates. The course load is rigorous while still allowing the student to have a life out of school. Electives are little to none until the later grades. Some classes are not rigorous and do not hold students to the highest of their capabilities. Sports teams are great some are competitive while others are just a great way to make friends.

the San Francisco Waldorf community is a special thing to be a part of. As a child, it greatly prepared me for my future schooling and my experiences in the outside world.
We are a new Waldorf family and my son is currently a 9th grader at the school. I cannot say enough about what an amazing experience this school has been for my kid. When we visited last year, I knew that the curriculum sounded amazing as well as the opportunities (foreign exchange, class trips) but...
Our family found SFWHS after sending our kids to a K-8 public school in San Francisco. It has been a fantastic place for our children to grow and (re)discover a love of education. Secondary education is changing post-COVID and I think in many ways the emphasis here on critical thinking, emotional le...
I came across Waldorf at a High School fair. The Waldorf teaching style was foreign to me even though I have a Master's Degree in Education from Stanford and was formerly a high school teacher and taught in a very similar style. Halfway through 9th grade COVID hit and school was quickly converted to...
As a parent of a recent alumni, I am deeply impressed with how SFWHS prepared my child for college and adult success. By being exposed to many different subjects, teachers, and a diverse student body, my child was prepared to succeed in the classroom (multiple Dean's list honors) and in becoming a m...
