Established in 1950, San Jose Episcopal Day School as a ministry of Grace Chapel Parish. The private school grew from just a kindergarten class to a voluntary pre-kindergarten through 6th grade, with current registration of 218 students. The average class size is 14 students. The mission of San Jose Episcopal is to provide a quality education while implementing a Christian foundation. Starting in the lower grades, attendees learn various positive characteristics they can use throughout their lives. Creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving are life skills taught in this independent school setting. Other education advantages include drama, music, art, Spanish and sports. The school uses technology integration to ensure attendees graduate from San Jose Episcopal prepared for real-world situations.

Sjeds is a joyful and caring school. All who attend and work there are kind. However, there is little else that it offers. The leadership and Head of School is inexperienced and over matched. Her heart is pure and she's a good Christian but her leadership delelivers a sub par product. The tuition is not worth the educational value, especially when compared to other private schools in the area. The school is safe but the classrooms and buildings are old and outdated.

Our son is thriving. From the environment of loving teachers to the sweet nature of each student we have been so pleased with our decision to join SJEDS! The curriculum is tough and our kiddo has had a learning curve adjusting to the increased work load but he comes home each day eager to tackle it...
