Being a small school, Kirby's culture can feel very insular, but the excellence of the teachers more than makes up for it. I've been lucky enough to have some truly incredible mentors.

I feel that the school needs more diversity in general. There's a lack of resources going into the sports programs and student support during the pandemic.

I hate going to Kirby, and I've had a hard time since I started. Other students only like you if you have good grades and a lot of money. The teachers really don't care that I'm depressed and that I'm being mistreated, and they really don't give me the help that I need.

Kirby School was an absolute game-changer for our child. After trying several schools, we finally found a place where learning felt exciting, teachers were genuinely supportive, and our child could truly thrive. The flexibility and encouragement at Kirby made all the difference, and the social-emoti...

Kirby is a top notch school that provides a well rounded education (small class sizes). Students are provided as much support from the teachers that is needed. Teachers are far better than the ones at a large private school in San Jose that our oldest attended. Kirby even provides a shuttle for stud...

This is a very expensive school with an incredibly high teacher turnover rate and a very substandard math program. The school has gotten progressively worse under the current leadership. If you are looking for a STEM school, this is not it. They do not have subject matter experts teaching math or co...

My daughter graduated almost 20 years ago, and this school was her happy place during her junior high and high school years. She learned to write well, advocate for herself and grow great self-confidence. She developed into an independent self assured kind adult.
