I like the programs here since there is a STEM Program, and HSB program. I don't like the math program here since it is "Standards" based and the highest grade you can get is a C, unless you do extended work which some of the teachers do not teach and it is more hard and extra work. I would have liked that the way the teachers grade in Math changed, since it is a reason many students like I have failed.

I really love Piner, and the programs we have here are outstanding for a high school. We not only have access to a research-grade telescope and planetarium, but our science and math programs are also strong. One of my issues with Piner is the defiant and isolated school culture, and the school lacks significant funding. With more funding, Piner would undoubtedly be a gold standard school.

Being a public school, Piner is home to a variety of students. Most of whom have not recieved an upbringing in which they were properly trained to succeed. I would love to see Piner improve its course offerings (such as the inclusion of Psychology courses, e.g. AP Psychology), and become more efficient in educating students on job and college opportunities within the area.

My daughter is going into her Junior year. She is doing excellent academically (according to her grades), but I feel the school is not preparing her for the rigor of a top college like I wish they would. They are more concerned with everyone passing and leaving no kid behind. They are wasting money...

Very bad this is the worst school I have ever sent my kids to, 0/10. The principles have no idea what they are doing. One time they scheduled a pick up of books for all grades and they did 1 student at a time it took 3 hours just to get 4 books.

Very positive. This school works with disadvantaged students and moves mountains, creating the best possible outcomes for a major percentage of students!
