The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

I would like to see the students being treated the same no matter their background. The same smart people that already had their school paid for and got all the local scholarships, which is ridiculous. The scholarships need to go to people that need it.

The school is fairly solid. There was blatant favoritism towards certain students due to small town mentality of everyone knowing everyone, but it wasn't an awful place to be. The faculty was always really nice from what I remember.

Hardin County High School has wonderful caring teachers and staff. They truly care for us and the parents. I am grateful for HCHS and the wonderful opportunities that we are given as students. I also enjoyed having the opportunity to have dual enrollment while in high school. It gave us a simple look into college life off campus.
