The Seattle Waldorf School was founded in 1980 and today, is spread across three campuses throughout Seattle. Its main campus is in the Meadowbrook sub-neighborhood within the Lake City neighborhood of Seattle.
Seattle Waldorf is a private school that serves students from preschool through 12th grade and says that Waldorf graduates earn more doctorates than the national average for independent schools.
The school offers a unique learning environment that places an emphasis on experiential learning and the natural world. By design, the curriculum cultivates a deep love of learning within the students as they view their subjects through multiple lenses. The curriculum is modeled after the one developed in Germany by Emil Molt and Rudolf Steiner more than 100 years ago.
Seattle Waldorf has small class sizes with a 1:12 teacher-to-student ratio. Students are immersed in interconnected, in-depth studies in the areas of science, math, writing, literature, world languages, history, geography, music, theater and dance.
The school is tuition-based and reports that around 38% of its student body receives financial aid in some form. This school is committed to maintaining a student body that accurately reflects the world around them, and tuition discounts are offered with support from the school’s targeted annual fundraising.

A rich, healthy learning environment that teaches to the whole child. This school isn't about prepping a child to pass tests and get into a name college. This school is about fostering a life long love of learning and prepping a child to be an engaged, thoughtful citizen of the world. There is no other school like it.
