The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Shamrock High School like many other mostly teaches for the tests. It is very sports orientated and has great staff. The teachers are very helpful and like to make sure everyone gets a fair chance. Of course it has it's down falls but so does every other.

There are many things that I love about Shamrock High School. For instance, the falculty to student ratio is perfect for students who need more one on one time. The problem is that for students who need to stay on task with a lot of work have a harder time. The teachers are fairly decent most of the time. However, there have been some teachers that are absolutely awful. There are also very few classes to choose from.
