The worst part of my experience has to be the lack of support and care of the others in the school. Not only do the teacher seem to have given up, the students are incredibly disrespectful and distracting. The behavior of others have made it a very bad learning environment. My best experience with my school has to be the small field trips because I don't have to be traped in a room with screaming people. The best part of my day is coming home.

In general, the teachers are alright and teach fairly well. In the four years I attended SHS though, the school got 10 new teachers, so getting to know new teachers was a bit irritating. A lot of the time they seem a little burnt out and tend to be inconsistent with rules. Many teachers take too long to grade assignments, causing student stress.

The academics are okay, as far as teaching and helping students. Some teachers make it hard to figure out grades because after a test, it takes them a month to correct, and that makes people stressed out, and can't improve their grade. The schedule is different, but if you do the things you are required to take, it shouldnt be hard to figure out the schedule. Most students like to take shop, AVID, P.E, and anything that doesnt require a lot of tests.

If you are an engaged parent, care about your child's education, and hold your kids accountable for their actions then SHS is great. The complaints that are raised are generally from the parents "whose kids do no wrong". That being the case SHS have phenomenal administrators, and educators who care...

Very low expectations and very poor discipline, the whole school system in Sheridan needs a complete overhaul.

Great school, if your a parent that is involved in you child's education. They work with you to get the most for your child.
