GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Sheridan has serious underfunding issues. There's a lack of college readiness and support. The food is small and unhealthy. There's no diversity being super rural. The best thing is the teachers, they really seem to care. The principal and VP are both understanding, helpful and empathetic.

I have went to the Northern Local District all my life. It is a very small school with a graduating class of about 200. I love being out in the country with little traffic and a quiet surrounding. The staff and teachers are all so helpful. They always jump to help someone and have easily allowed me to excel in the classes I have taken. Overall a great school and I would recommend anyone to enroll here.

It was a good school with good staff. Really recommend the shop classes and the agriculture classes. They are taught by great teachers

Great Honors teachers. Excellent tech program. Good staff. However, very poor principals and discipline. The administration allows horrible things to happen with no regard for the safety of their students, but only for their image, if anything is done at all. The disciplinarian at this school is ver...

Class of 2022, here. If I had to sum up my overall experience within the Sheridan school district, it would be equivalent to flying a kite during a thunderstorm. It’s certainly flying, but at what cost? There is very little focus on any extracurriculars besides sports, so unless your child is Tom Br...

Most of the negative reviews written about Sheridan were clearly written by trouble-making students. Notice that none of the negative comments pertained to the EXCELLENT academics at Sheridan (and were actually poorly written). I would invite you to see the school and how well it is run. The facilit...
