GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Very small, with little diversity and no exposure to interactions with new people. The graduating class size (when I graduated in 2014) was only 53 students, with the large majority having been part of the school since Kindergarten. The teachers are alright, but many are being laid off due to the lack of students.

I could go on and on about the negative things that happened at the Sherman school but I’ll save my breath. Just don’t even bother.

Small class sizes, very involved, dedicated teachers. Ms. Cathy Davidson (K) and Ms. Kerry McDevitt (3) are truly engaging, caring, world class instructors (at or exceeding the level of private school instructors at some of NYC's best-known private schools). The school (at least the public facing as...

The administration here is atrocious. They speak derogatorily to parents who raise concerns and I have heard horror stories from present and many former staff members that have worked there. Zero trust.

Our teachers (Ms. McDevitt and Ms. Davidson) appear to be fantastic educators and our children seem to love their time, here. They're learning in leaps and bounds -- and even more import...
