Overall my experience at Sherman High school has for the most part pretty good. Most staff and friendly and security themselves are quite friendly and active in the school. The only complaints I have with the Security of the high school is it is very unorganized. While yes we have metal detectors the sensitivity on them is changed every week. This is an issue due to if you change the sensitivity it will detect stuff such as: keys, spirals and other miscellaneous items of no importance. This backs up the lines and forces teachers to have to either rush or hold up students to do bag checks. I honestly believe that if you keep it at a certain sensitivity then you can hone it on certain things. We had a drug dog however he is no longer here.I don't understand why they would remove the k9 unit as there was times where he did sniff out drugs and nicotine products.Another pressing issue is the accidental lock downs. Unfortunately I'm out of characters but thanks for taking time to read my report.

its an amzing school there is a lot to do there sports porgam is the best in the High school is often a pivotal stage in a young person's development, one where they formalize a sense of identity and make some early but important life decisions about careers and lifestyles. Context, relationships and expectations matter a great deal during this period—but so do the experiences and environments of the institution—most of which were inherited from decades or even centuries gone by.

Best Part of Sherman High was the interaction between my teachers and the other students. Of course there are good days and bad days but for the teachers that made class exciting thank you. And as for my track/cross country coach, he was amazing at getting us motivated to keep on running and to improve in ourselves.

Bigoted school district that is more concerned what is happening in students’ pants than in their brains.

IF you want privacy, then do NOT sign up for this school, privacy does not exist, you are constantly monitored on everything you do. you can almost not do anything and they claim to "set you up for the real world" which they dont. Dont come here

The new high school is beautiful albeit too small for the amount of students they house. Poor planning for hallways, parking, class size, everything. Poor communication between school and parents.Horrible Math department and pervy teacher who thinks he's a 'hunk'This school is gated and locked basic...
