Shorecrest is supposed to be a Honors For All school. Meaning all classes are taught at honors level. Last year, first full year post-COVID, it did not feel that way. This is the second year post-COVID and a new principal; it seems like expectations and rigorousness have improved. Being involved as a parent is tricky; most parents have been involved for a while. This school is SUPER arts and music focused, which is wonderful. Lots of clubs, student led activities, and engagement.

I was happy with my first child but unfortunately have been disappointed with how my second child has been treated. They will be losing a smart, enthusiastic STEM student because of their lack of action to address mistreatment by staff toward my child. I don’t recommend this school for all kids.

We have two kids who are at or have gone through Shorecrest in recent years and third chiled on the rise. At every level with the Shoreline School District, since elementary, but especially at SC, we have been thoroughly impressed with every facet of the District; and with Shorecrest, from Lisa Gonz...
