GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have had opportunities to engage in different activities at this school that I wouldn't have at a bigger school. I love the atmosphere, and my teachers are all very helpful.

I've spent my entire life attending Silverton School . This is the school where I attended all from elementary school to high school. There has been many ups and downs during these years but I wouldn't have chosen to go to any other school. There has been many times where I couldn't wait to leave this place but at the end of the day I would never wish to go to another school. The best parts of my experience have been the friends i've made along the way. I'm so thankful that I get to walk the stage with the people that I met when I was four years old on my first day of school. Some of the worst parts have been the days where the teacher assigns so much work or the days where you just really don't feel like waking up. Although there has been some tough days, I wouldn't change a thing.

We have a school nurse that attends to the needs of the sick children and keeping disease outbreaks under control. She also educates the kids on several health topics. We have had a few instances of bullying but for the most part I think it is handled in a timely manner before it gets to severe. We have had several safety measures added recently including security cameras and fencing. For the most part I believe that our school is safe.
