Sitka High school is an average school. They struggle in math and science subjects and have poor college readiness programs. The sports teams need additional funding for equipment.

It was an average high school experience. The teachers were great, but the curriculum felt behind sometimes. There are some things that I struggled with in college because they weren't covered in high school, but it definitely depends on who is teaching the subject. There was a big clique problem while I was attending here, mainly with the kids in sports.

The small sized school allows kids to have one on one time with all of their teachers so it's easy to be successful there.
