GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall as a Junior at Smithfield Selma-High school my experience has been great. The best parts of my experience are going to the football and basketball games to support my team. I enjoy spirit week and the pep rallies we have for them. I also enjoy the teachers that have helped me become the person I strive to be after I graduate. The worst experience I've had here was when we had a real lockdown due to threats because I've never experienced a lockdown and I was just a freshman. I would change the way we get our information because it's really difficult to communicate with the staff and counselors.

I am in a special program so that's why i go there, and i've had a great experience so far. It's been really fun and I hope it gets even better as the years go on.

Our school always encourages us to be the best. As with any school, we have struggles here or there, but it does not stop the teachers and administrators from doing all they can to see us succeed.
