I didn't have much involvement with sports, but the teams always seemed to do really well. The music department is well-developed especially the band/marching band. There is a wonderful sense of community within the school and it fits well into the whole community of Smithfield. It's an old school, so there are naturally some facilities and technology that is a bit old too, but they still do their best to keep things updating.

I'm sure the school has changed since I went there. I wish I had had more support with preparing for college. I appreciated when they had the colleges visit the campus so we could learn about different schools. Helping students understand that they can apply for scholarships would help many people and relieve financial burden. I loved ROCK hour and used that time to my advantage to keep up good grades. ROCK hour is an hour break where you can eat lunch. Each teacher must stay in their classroom for at least half an hour to assist needy students. I spent most of my time getting help with math homework.

I loved Skyview Highschool. I found most of the teachers to be supportive and invested in my grades and success. Looking back, I wish there was more talk about preparation for college in the classes. There are many opportunities in sports and clubs, and the environment was generally positive.

Sky view isn’t a great school! Principals will target your kids if they get in trouble for the smallest thing. School bus driver named tonya who drives bus 93 is a terrible driver. This school mistreats and is not fair to students with learning disabilities, mental health problems, and students who are different. It would be a great school for any one to go to. It is a little run down, but it turns into home as you become friends not only with your peers, but the teachers and staff.

Sky View is a great school. There is a diverse selection of courses to take. The teachers and counselors can be very accommodating. Sport events are very well attended and school spirit is high.
