GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I haven't really had any bad experiences with my school. I love my school's culture and I love how the parents and staff are helpful to each other's success and students' success. Everyone who works here loves the students and does an amazing job of teaching them and shaping them into great people.

Smithville has an outstanding academic program due to our leaders. We also excel in all sports. Great all around school.

Students aren't allowed to wear hats and your hair has to be a "natural" color or you are suspended. The hat and natural hair policy are silly, but other policies are understandable.

The policy of "if there weren't witnesses, then the bullying didn't happen" just adds to the strength of the bully. The "good 'ol boy" and cliques in the school are hard to combat and difficult for new students.
