GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It's an okay school. The after school activities need work though, since the one that we have don't look that good for a college application. If a student wants to go to an good college that's not near TN it's practically impossible.

It is an excellent environment for students to grow and learn. The teachers are very welcoming and accepting.

I enjoyed the lifelong friends I made while I was there. I did not enjoy some teachers and their way of teaching.

DeKalb County High School, was nothing special and often failed me. It was lacking in resources and even the teachers at the time lacked life. Nothing outstanding, not even mid. I was able to graduate and continue my education, but that it because of my own motivation, not because I felt this school...

DeKalb County High School is a wonderful school. They now have honor classes, duel credit classes, and A P classes. Students can graduate with over a years worth of college credit.
