Smyer high school is the best in Texas, such caring teachers that really get to know the students. The teachers take time to foster real relationships with the students.

Smyer is a very small school, Pre-k through high school. The teachers are very friendly. The teachers are amazing, they truly care about their students. The students are respectable to one another. Overall the staff is friendly and only wants the best for their students. The staff truly wants to see their students succeed, for middle and high schoolers with a 75 and above usually get released at 1 on Wednesdays, the students who aren't doing as well spend time with the teacher to get one on one time to raise their grades and only stay after until 3:30. The teachers not only care about inside the class room problems but also problems that are outside the class room too. I don't negative to say about the school. The parents are also very involved in the students lives. The only change I'd make would have to be more diversity within the school.

All 3 of my boys (Sophomore, 4th, and 2nd) attend Smyer ISD. We came from Frenship School District and I feel that we made the right move. My kids are doing wonderful in school and sports. I plan on making Smyer my permanent home.
