Solon Middle School provides students in seventh and eighth grades with dozens of programs that help growing learners reach their fullest potential.
Tailored, data-driven instruction is vital to the academic success of all students at Solon Middle School, which is a 2020 National Blue Ribbon winner. With a population of just under 700, students at Solon Middle School are high achievers and the numbers tell the story. With an exceptional 95% of students scoring at or above the proficient level for math and 93% scoring at or above that level for reading, it’s no wonder Solon Middle School is ranked #5 in Ohio Middle Schools by U.S. News.
Student participation rates are high in the vast array of activities and clubs including chess club, academic challenge, Future Problem Solvers (FPS), Science Olympiad and more.
In an effort to develop well-rounded and productive citizens, the Solon Middle School PTA makes it a priority to recognize students who make a difference in their community. Through their SMS Community Service Award Program, students are recognized by engaging in a variety of service-based projects and community support programs.
The school, which opened in 2017, offers students a revitalized and spacious learning space that incorporates modern science labs as well as unique collaborative areas for students and teachers alike.

Solon Middle School is pretty good. I would just remove some teachers because of their insolence but overall good place. Good students. One kid named Jabin Mallia is the best though by far because of his amazing academic career and how he excels in clubs. He is a really good person.

My son had the same experience they didn't say the N word instead they called his name and made money sounds. The principal Campbell explained it away as a "game" ..which my son wasn't playing bt...
