St. Rita School in Solon provides students in preschool through eighth grade with a private, faith-centered school option driven by academic excellence.
Recognized as a Harold C. Shaw Outstanding School and having recently earned the Governor's Award for STEM Excellence, students at St. Rita have access to a variety of learning options and an innovative STEM curriculum. Most notably, the school incorporates challenging, project-based assignments that work to prepare students for a lifetime of success, continued learning and service to others.
The 10-acre campus, which has served the Solon community for 65 years, enrolls 319 students and includes a library, music room, fine art studio, science lab, computer lab and a learning center which offers extra help and therapies.
Each classroom is equipped with electronic, interactive whiteboards, iPads and Apple TVs, which are used to project screens and enhance visual learning. In addition, each student who attends St. Rita is provided a school-issued Chromebook.
Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports programs at St. Rita including football, soccer, golf and volleyball, just to name a few.
With a focus on innovative curriculum and religious education, St. Rita is a fantastic option for those seeking a high-quality educational experience centered on Christian principles.

We love St. Rita, and experiences that we have had there. The academics, school culture, sports, and activities are awesome. What we would like to see more of is diversity, and diversity training for staff and students.

I am so happy that we chose to send our son to school at St. Rita. I love the small class sizes and the time that the teachers take with the students. The principal, Mr. Sikora is very personable he seems to take his time with the students and parents. We like the different extracurricular activities that are offered.

Overall, we are thrilled with St. Rita’s as a whole. The school offers an inclusive environment and allows are children (2nd grade and K) to excel.Another positive aspect is the “extras” that the school /parish provides in terms of clubs, sports, and other church related activities.
