GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Some things that I would like to see change is the quality of the food. The food there taste like plastic and isn't visually appealing.

My 4 school years at Southaven High has been an overall good experience and if I could go here again, I would. The environment with my classmates has been a little shaky and there are some kids that are disruptive, but I didn't let them get in the way of my chances at doing the best that I could in the class, making high scores and keeping those scores high. My teachers and principles have all been good and I am always ready to learn more from them.

Southaven could be better if people weren’t so judgmental at this school and if people weren’t trying to provoke one another.

mediocre, at best, with each passing year getting more racially divided and more dangerous

I had 3 children graduate from SHS and 1 grandchild. No problems whatsoever. If you are looking for an education you will find it here the teachers are great and the no tolerance policy is fully unforced
